they cut about half the content, the game doesn't run all too well and despite one short and easy 2D-demo-level of Rayman 2 there is nothing to compensate for this. PS1 version is sort of a demo for the full game. It runs well, but it looks muddy (worse than the N64 version it's based on) - and if you have a 3DS, why opt for digital pad instead of analog control ? ![]() So in fact I would recommend any of the above mentioned versions over this one.ĭS version is not the worst one imo, but still you shouldn't buy that one. I've played on a keyboard when I played through the PC version because controller support was awful. If you like playing on a PC, the PC version is also allright, should be the best looking one, but only because of resolution. I'd say it's the worst performing one out of DC, 3DS, N64 and PS2. On PS2 they added an overworld which I didn't like and the game runs a bit sloppy. If you really like the N64 controller you can't go wrong with that one either. N64 version also is really nice and runs well, but of course the graphics take a hit - the typical vaseline-filter is active. Besides a few minor framerate hickups (in non-critical sections) it ran fine and if you like 3D or portability, you might even find it to be the best of all versions. It has a nice 3D effect, which suffers from ghosting during the sequences though. ![]() The best version is the Dreamcast one, but the 3DS version is almost identical.
